Land of Ideas
The initiative to "Promote Innovation and Research in Germany” launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been presenting Germany’s research achievements and opportunities to the international community since November 2006 under the brand "Research in Germany - Land of Ideas". Promotional measures and events aimed at positioning German innovation and research in key international markets have been organised on behalf of BMBF.
Internet portal “Research in Germany”
The “Research in Germany” portal is an information platform and contact point for all looking to find out more about Germany's research landscape and its latest research achievements. One key goal of the portal is to provide an overview of the research and funding opportunities in Germany. It also delivers the latest science and research news from Germany and upcoming events. Additionally, practical information supports foreign scientists and researchers in their decision to collaborate with German research organisations or to complete a research stay in Germany. Editorial responsibility for the Portal lies with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The newsletter "Research in Germany" appears once every two months with news and information on the latest developments in German science and research. It includes up-to-date articles and interviews on collaborative international research as well as on appropriate sources of funding.
