Helmholtz Association
Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft
The Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres provides top scientific achievements to society, science and industry to tackle major challenges they are confronted with. The Helmholtz Association integrates 16 scientific-technical and biological-medical research centres and is the largest scientific organisation in Germany. General information about the Helmholtz Association, its research activities and budget can be found here:
Research in Germany: Helmholtz
One example for cooperation in Brazil of the Helmholtz Association: The Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ) is developing an Integrative Water Resource Management system for the Brazilian capital city of Brasília. Know as IWAS Água DF, the project is a German-Brazilian cooperation from the Helmholtz Association and the University of Brasília and Caesb (The Water Supplier and Sanitation Company of the Federal District).[1]
